Warm Merino Wool Socks
Description
Warm. Without ever overheating.
The problem with classic winter socks is that they only have one setting. You put them on because it's cold outside, and twenty minutes after getting somewhere warm, your feet are damp.
Merino wool doesn't work that way. It's a fiber that regulates: it insulates when it's cold, and wicks away moisture as the temperature rises. That's why you find it on a mountain summit in February just as much as in an overheated office. And unlike ordinary wool, its fibers are fine enough to never itch, which is exactly what sets merino apart from the rest.
It also has a property cotton doesn't: it doesn't hold onto odors. A full day, a hike, a long commute, the sock stays fresh.
We knitted it at a medium thickness, deliberately. Dense enough to keep you warm all winter, thin enough to fit into a dress shoe without forcing it.
What makes the difference
- Merino wool: warm without overheating, natural temperature regulation
- Fine fibers: the warmth of wool, without the itch
- Doesn't absorb odors, even after a full day
- Medium thickness: works just as well in dress shoes as in walking shoes
- Reinforced heel and toe, where wear hits first
Composition: 98% wool, 2% elastane
Sizes: 34-39 & 40-45
Colors: White, black, navy, gray
Care: Machine wash at 30°C on wool cycle. No tumble dryer, no fabric softener. Dry flat.
